This year 's Oscar has certainly gone French! The artist swept away most of the well deserved awards including the best picture of the year. This innovative nostalgia black and while silent movie is a daring move by bring so much fond memories for the previous generation, ask mom if you know really understand what that means. Film Director Michel Hazanavicius had certainly proved that his brave courage leading the French team including best actor Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo, his real wife who played the lead actress by shooting this movie in the Hollywood, this "collaboration" brought him a lot of his first time achievement. This tribute to black and white silent movie completed with action, laughs and tears. It is double hard work of preparation to create a better communication with the audience without actual dialogue for a more comprehensive contact, especially the beautiful "black & White" costume design on screen which won them the best costume awards in the Oscar. One can imagine how great are they in colors. We don't say much for Dujardin's acting that brought him his first Oscar and Best Actor in the Cannes Film festival acting with his full bloom body language, does he deserve those recognition? The answer is YES!

Who doesn't know this man in town? The man that you'll love to love and all girls in Hong Kong wants to have a piece a of him. He needs no further introduction, the multi-talented Michael Wong talks to mylifestylenews about his passion in helicopter flying and collaboration designing beside what he does best in acting, singing and a good family man.

One of my collaborations in the MW Michael Wong Collection is with Giorgio Fedon 1919. Before this came along, I was doing the BMW and Baccarat's collaboration in which this is still on going.The MW Michael Wong by Giorgio Fedon 1919 began in late 2011 when the Fedon group approached me for a brand endorsement.

I went to their office and after catching a glimpse of the quality and potentials of the Giorgio Fedon 1919 products, right away it interest me in more than just an endorsement. After detailed discussions with the brand, the Fedon group decided to create the MW Michael Wong by Giorgio Fedon 1919 collection.

The MW Brand is aimed at lifestyle orientated professionals with a sense of adventure in mind. From feature films, music, aviation to travel, it embodies the "active luxury lifestyle". It is the highest quality and supreme functionality and every product developed in collaboration does represents my living lifestyle.

In this collaboration, we used the original shark grey colour and made with Giorgio Fedon 1919 signature orange lining, the MW collection is light in weight and functional in design. The products are made in soft cow hide leather that resembles the aviator leather jackets. The collection includes the Messenger Bag, Cross-body Bags, Wallet, Mignon Case, Card Case, iphone Case and Key Rings.

This year's plan will be my other collaboration with BMW by designing a brand new men's line, that including men's shoes. It will be my main focus as we have been going through a couple of discussions and am pretty much excited to see the results.

Beside flying, I do spend quite a bit of time by playing piano, listening to music and hanging out with friends.

Spending times with family is another essential pastimes for me as it is important that to have good bonding with my family and it is one of the most wonderful moments to be with them when I can.

The most memorable voyage of my flying experience was that when I was a trainee helicopter pilot in Canada before I was certified, I lost my direction and couldn't find a place to land but to make an instinct decision to land with a complete safety ensured. That was quite an challenging flight.

My ideal living lifestyle is try to live a life with less pressure and less stress and enjoying life at every minute that is given. To have a well organized schedule and embrace life.

Jennifer: Girls like to know how you balance your marriage life and resist all the temptation as a man being some handsome?

MW: It is not easy to make goals but commitment is the absolute key. It needs a lot of preparation and responsibility for what you do. A good interaction and communication with your family is a must as it will lead to a good bonding eventually.

Edmond: How can one look like you at your age and to stay so well to maintain a good figure?

MW: A proper diet is in need. You can't go wrong by doing exercise to stimulate the cardio. It has no short cut but discipline is a must.

Guests enjoyed a pleasant afternoon as they indulged in delectable treats and soothing tones.

Furla is going a step further, giving Sissi the opportunity to express her creativity through a sort of artistic installation showcased by Francesco Carrozzini’s photographs. The result is an original campaign with a fresh, ironic tone. The words “Furla and I” are painted by the artist. A bizarre garment-structure, hand-woven with ropes, knots and metal wires in Sissi’s poetic fashion, makes an ironic statement about the characteristics of haute couture.

Furla sums up its journey and its values by launching a new method of communication, very different to stereotypical fashion advertisements. The concept is innovative, as is its very title: “Furla and I”.It is a declaration of complicity between Furla and every woman. The key word is simplicity, the result of considerable research, arriving at timeless elegance.

An interplay of reality and virtual games: Prada Presents Folding in Love. Folding In Love is a Prada project that tells the imaginary world of folding glasses through a simulated videogame. It is the brief and intense adventure of an object, in this case sunglasses, which is the flying lead character in a multi-level surreal journey. As befits the classic ‘arcade’ videogames, after travelling through multiple worlds in the Prada universe, the adventure ends in a romantic epilogue.

Black and white chequered floors, coloured saffiano trolleys, alphabet-shaped tricks, backpack snap-hooks, crocodile minibags, parchment suitcases and countless other elements from the Prada collections mark the game's space, thus outlining a visual universe that spans digital fantasy and perfect 3D rendering. The hero object is the new Prada Folding Sunglasses, a design accessory that transforms, flies, hovers, rotates, bends to overcome barriers and dodge hurdles, all the way to the videogame's grand finale, where it conquers the princess – the ladies' version of the sunglasses.

The video that presents the project is directed by the Milan-based Modecracy studio. For the soundtrack Prada chose to work with Ladytron, a Liverpool-based band that has always been at the forefront and among the pioneers of the electroclash sound with a pop twist, that boast previous collaborations with singers including Christina Aguilera and Placebo. The song that forms the soundtrack of Folding in Love is “Ace of Hz” from the album “Gravity the Seducer” released in September 2011. Cartier hosted a worldwide exclusive premiere of cinematic epic <L’Odyssée de Cartier> in 15 major cities of the world, including Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Milan, Beijing, Seoul, Dubai, Rio etc. The three and a half minute film expresses the vital energy of a sovereign Maison, which recounts an ongoing legend suffused with 165 years of history. This film is the epic story of the King of Jewellers moved by its passion for creation and for interacting with the world's cultures. <L’Odyssée de Cartier> follows the panther, Cartier’s icon since 1914, on a mesmerising journey around the world. From Paris to Russia, China to India, the panther relives the stories behind the inspiration of Cartier’s signature pieces, mapping the quests of the three Cartier brothers, Pierre, Louis and Jacques, as they set out to conquer the worlds that inspired the House's designs.

The film was shot in four different locations with three young panthers, born and bred by trainer Thierry Le Portier, as stars. Directed by renowned advertising film director Bruno Aveillan, featuring international top model Shalom Harlow and accompanied by an original score created and orchestrated by Pierre Adenot.The original Cartier theme was recorded in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, where the music to films such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings were recorded. It Involves an orchestra of 84 musicians, featuring strings, percussion, woodwind, harp and piano with a Choir featured 60 women and children to underscore the musical composition. Hong Kong artist Movana Chen creates fabrics that may be fashioned into forms, but the thing that gives her works resonance is the fact that they are knitted out of the pages of books and magazines that were given to her by friends and strangers. When she shreds a book, it is to remake it in such a way that the lives of the owner, author, artist, and every other person who may have read the same work are intermingled into something shared.

Chinese artist Yin Xiuzhen has been using used clothing in her installations and sculptures since 1995. For her, these intimate objects are imbued with the personal memories of the original owner and the character of the times they were worn. She sees them as a way of broadening her imagination, and a way of connecting with both their personal histories and their wider social histories so that the entire society can be implicated in her work.

Another Hong Kong artist, Man Fung Yi presents metal sculptures derived from the form of actual garments worn by herself or her family. These sculptures enclose nothing and are presented as an open network of metal wires in order to make the nothingness explicit. The creation by Man Fung Yi of an open skein of metal, describing and hiding nothing, actually gives it greater substance. Exhibition ends May 2012.

This movie has a little underestimate the audience's intelligent. Many might disagree with us for the charm and masculine factor that you may find in Chris Pine and Tom Hardy but it just doesn't really apply to us. They were neither cute nor attractive as what they were projected in the movie, sorry dude, it is just not gonna work. The film began with the location scene in "Hong Kong" but it may fool the American who has not been to the far east (even for those who had) as the scene was not Hong Kong skyline at all plus the vehicles number plates were shown clearly it is a Shanghai registered vehicles. Perhaps, a little more details research were needed for a much serious production. Acting wise were rather too harsh and try to project the Gorgeous heroic look, as for Reese Witherspoon, the Oscar crown may have to be re-considered. Generally, there isn't much excitement in this film and everything was predicted as it should be. not even a school night's ideal entertainment. You won't miss a thing.

Giorgio Fedon began with eyewear design, in which I am still carrying one of those whenever I travel, it is foldable, light, and produced in old technique with modern technology. Later on we switched it to leather goods production and using the same philosophy to produce light weight suitcases with elegant touches and adjust to suit the market needs. Since then, the collection has gradually become a new symbol of Italian style.

This year, we brought with us the latest collaboration with Michael Wong and produced a series of design entitled MW by Giorgio Fedon. This new line is business and casual smart driven, you can wear it either for business or a casual weekend lifestyle purposes.

It is all began last summer when we met Michael Wong and we told him our philosophy and concept . Surprisingly, great minds think alike, with his bright sophistication manner and lifestyle. Michael's personality related to different industry, he acts, he sings, he fly and he does thing that reflects in all the well-beings; combining with the right manners, we think he is just right for us and how this collaboration was born, the rest is history.

Our designs are characterized by the use of precious materials and minimalist design, which summarize processing traditional work and contemporary design.

A brand image and brand education needed to be built for Asia market especially China. It is for them to understand an established brand's background history and the value of the brand. New idea has to be implemented simultaneously with PR activities and events. This would be a good knowledge for new consumer market for them to understand the know-how of the brand.

Everything deserve a second chance and it shall have been done etter. However, mistakes are far more essential than success.

I don't involve so much in design now but I put on more time on building up my team. A good team to help me develop and design for the brand's philosophy and what we still believe in.

What Giorgio Fedon needs to achieve is to be part of the reference in business success with new ideas implementation; to become bigger and a brand that is well recognised.

I run and jog everyday when I can, it does gives me a space to clear my mind and return with fresh ideas.

My ideal living lifestyle is to have a good team in the company. Family is important to me as I love to be surrounded by my family and I embrace it very much. A great meals as well as great wine with great company to me is just divine.

My favorite colors are bright and neo colors. I like pink, peach color the most. Sometimes I do mix the bright colors with some earth tone colors to give a contrast combination. With that, I can highlight my look by matching a colorful hand bag or shoes and even eye-catching accessories.

Hong Kong is a great city comparing to where I come from, this city has endless energy and provides lots of opportunities for those who are ready to tab into the fields that they are good at. I am quite lucky to be able to do what I enjoy in this city that full of excitements. Thanks to those that I have worked with and those who've given me some great opportunites. I enjoy the lifestyle and living quite a content life here.

When my modeling career comes to an end or I don't act one day, I would like to involve in designs. I would like to design lingerie and have my own lingerie line. I just love lace and the lingerie design has to be with lots of laces. Lace to me is like a second skin, it feels very close to me by wearing them; it is sexy yet very approachable and I feel loved by wearing it. I hope this dream is not so far away.

As for collaboration, I would like to work with people who have talents that inspire me for what I am doing, I could learn from them for what I am lacking of and it helps me to develop my career with their talent that I can gain.

I enjoy my present work very much, it gives me lots of joy and pleasure by meeting different people in different project co-operation. I feel lucky for what I have.

My ideal living lifestyle is to be able to have my own career, work with less pressure and to form my own family. A perpetual feast is a contended mind, I adore that.

Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale Of Urbanism/Architecture 2011/12

The 2011/12 Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture was on stage from the 15^th of February at the roof garden of Kowloon park. 50 teams, including the international well-known offices, Steven Holl, OMA, KPE among others will be the participants to the Biennale. JUT Foundation for Arts and Architecture is invited by Mr. Gene K. King who is the leading curator of Taiwan’s participation in the Biennale. Three projects, <Illegal Architecture>,<The Vertical Village>, and <Ruin Academy> will be presented. Another exhibition room of Taiwan will be showing <Urban Network Booting>, which is curated by Professor Shu-Chang Kung, Chun-Tei Tseng and Wei Tseng from Graduate Institute of Architecture of National Chiao Tung University.

The three subjects, illegal constructions, villages and ruins are represented and are correspond to the theme of Bi-City Biennale “Time, Space, People”. Considering the power represented by architecture, scrutinizing the rapid change of the environment, and meditating a future city, it is possible that the long-neglected spaces such as illegal constructions, villages and ruins are the familiar but obscure bases incubating our magnificent dream of a grand metropolis.

<Illegal Architecture- Exhibition of Architects Wang Shu X Hsieh Ying-Chun>, <The Vertical Village> and <Ruin Academy> were three major projects of JFAA which all combined the exhibition with massive research and workshops. The three projects all looked at the urban phenomena from different perspective and all came to realize between 2009 to 2011 when there was a rapid and sharp change over the saturated urban texture in Taipei. At the same time, they challenged the principles and the conditions of architectural practice and urban planning in Taipei.

As the changes of a city are more and more drastic, our ideas about architecture take shape more and more powerfully. These small bases, no matter how insignificant, they confronted the humanistic value of a city and our worldview through a macro scale. By offering different points of view, it is expected that the Taipei city could be better understood. Exhibition ends on 23 April 2012.

Prada opened a new store in Bangkok, Thailand, in the prestigious Siam Paragon mall. The new store, designed by Architect Roberto Baciocchi, occupies a total of about 300 square metres on a single level, and it carries the Prada ready-to-wear, bags and accessories collections for both women and men. The storefront opening on the inside of the mall features alternating light boxes and windows with polished steel profiles set in a black marble cladding. The entrance, located on a corner, interrupts this pattern and leads to the sale area.

The inside is subdivided in three polygonal rooms, defined by the elements that mark Prada's stores worldwide, such as walls covered in the traditional pale green cloth and carpet flooring alternating with the elegant black and white chequered marble floor at the entrance. The women's collections area is especially elegant thanks to the precious materials of the display niches, saffiano leather in cera colour and green fabric, large mirrors and smart polished steel and crystal display counters.

The men's collections area, characterised by rosewood and polished steel profiles, is embellished with castorino-coloured velvet seats and black saffiano and crystal counters.

Others raves about <We Found Love> featuring Calvin Harris but we find it just another usual duet to create noise. This entire album may be far more than a collection of singles but this dance pop album still win many other support. It may not be a victory lap but ate least it is a whole new race for her future since she came out from the dark of the troubled relationship with Chris Brown.

Michelle Yeoh has certainly made us proud of her performance especially having the Burmese dialogue fluently played despite for our understanding of actually what she said but with the subtitles, it was still impulsive and moving. We can see Yeoh's had put in a lots of effort on portraying the role, with all of her gestures well executed without any doubts. One thing we must say that Yeoh had lost her British accent's for the real Lady Onshan, you can't have it all. David Thewlis' acting is not any worst than Yeoh's as his body language showed us what is there to take to become a real actor. Overall, it is a good change of Besson's genre for another good milestone.

The music style are with a hint of the 80's electric but with the new wave with a new age effect that against the usual pops. <Born To Die> is simply gorgeous (check out the fashionable yet seductive MTV below) with almost flawless arrangement in its composition being the main track that aiming for the top of the list on the chart. <Diet Mountain Dew> is rather fun with the lyrics and the way Del Rey carried out with the performance. Check Out <Dark Paradise> with the distinctive chorus ( a double line chorus) that are more of an effective symphonic projection on the vocal effect. Listen closely to <Radio> and <Carmen>, they are rather compelling.

The entire music production are quite impeccable, the more you listen to it, the more you will discover the imposing production. Quite an intelligent approach by creating such individual with a full on characteristic production. In the next awards presentation to come, you won't find this name strange anymore.

We have to admit that Mark Wahlberg is not Marky Mark anymore but just showing his six pack "Chocolate bar" abs with Calvin Klein underwear but he is also a great producer and actor. Being able to pick his own screen play and taking the lead role himself is the given luck in the film industry and Wahlberg is of one them. In this film, Wahlberg's heroics silver screen image remains, playing a responsible husband and father who is long ago abandoned his life of crime to his family safety with an intelligent theft by smuggling the money back to America from the notorious Panama. The story can just be like another good against devil action pack but the execution of the plots and a couple of action scenes was rather impulsive and forceful. What would you hide to protect your family? That is exactly what Chris Farraday (Wahlberg) would do.

Paris based, Japanese avant-garde fashion designer Asturo Tayama brought along his latest SS2012 collection to Hong Kong ans shared his inspiration behind the new collection and mylifestylenews explored the world of Asturo Tayama through a unique interactive space while this fashion guru did an instant sketching for us.

My SS2012 collection is all about color and the inspiration came from three different themes to enrich the color and design.

The first one is called Tropical Forest where you can see lots of bold tropical floral and botanic prints in vivid pink, red, yellow, orange, blue and green. There are cleric shirt dress in colorful random border print exudes an ethnic charm.

The second theme was inspired by the 1930's artists' work like Piet Cornelies Mondrian and Pablo Picasso where you can see colorful patch work in orange, pink, blue, green and purple, showing off a graphical array of patchwork techniques such as tape and ribbon patchwork, Knit and silk multi-material patchwork, etc. The signature oversized collars are made with tabs.

The third one is the Fusion of Handbag and womenswear where a series of handcrafted dresses with avant-garde design. Theandmade details and craftsmanship highlight the playful collection. Bag-themed collection includes traveling bag-style dresses decorated with fringes or punched leather and saddlebag-style dresses with handle-like shoulder straps, leather wrapping, braiding, tussel ribbons, big buckles and clasps used in bags are also installed.

Gardening is what I am working on lately as it is calm and peace. It also gives me space of being alone to enjoy the time of quietness. It is zen.

I feel better to work alone nowadays instead of trying to have a collaboration with anyone or any organization.

Spatial design and interior design would be my next challenge when it comes to design. It is something new and something that I have always wanted to do.

All the design works that I had done are not good enough and do deserve a second chance. I would like to make progress in my life at all time.

My ultimate goal for my career advancement is being able to live with my customers who appreciate and understand my design.

Fashion to me is a mean of communication.

Black, navy blue and white are my favorite colors simple because they are most strong and beautiful. I do not have a definate personal style for myself but I do wear black a lot.

If I were not a fashion designer one day, I would like to become a painter, however, my painting might not be selling well.

My ideal living lifestyle is to pursuit relaxation at all time.

A cloudy yet bright sky can be seen on a long crepe dress, modest in front but revealing the back. Technical fabrics combine with materials that are more rustic, the sea green organza shirt is dressed with a lace front. The ample natte skirt and jacket suit has contrasting grosgrain to mark the waistline, while the Bavarian shorts are cut in casual silk or textured leather.

The sulphur yellow apron dress crosses straps over a pastel shirt. The tobacco colour hooded jacket in water-repellent canvas jacket is cut at the waist.
